It's been verified by more than one person. What we do know 100%, beyond any reasonable doubt, is that they've posted releases with said cryptominer. Finding out who put that in the download is a he said-she said. We don't even know 100% if the crypto miner was put in by a "rouge mod". A "rouge mod" is not an excuse for releasing a game with a fucking crypto miner, you moron. Point blank, your answer is they've done very shady things in the past.

Nah he's right you're trying to defend like 5 different points of malice here, for what exactly? What skin do you have in this game to waste defending people who have been proven to be bad eggs multiple times, and who aren't recommended in almost ANY piracy community (not just this one) (I had to change the spelling of I G G Games for this to prevent this post getting removed, so please excuse the way it's spelt)
I see people on this subreddit mention they have downloaded from I G G Games and then have people tell them they have a virus and they need to reinstall Windows, which is obviously wrong, and we shouldn't be telling people this. I think the real reason why I G G Games is listed as unsafe is because the creator of the megathread has a personal grudge with the site for some of the unethical actions the owners has taken in the past, not because it's actually dangerous to download from.
Hell, most of the torrents uploaded to 1337x.to, a widely promoted site on this subreddit and a site listed as being safe on the megathread due to them checking all torrents uploaded for malware, are ones by I G G Games. None of the reasons listed for why I G G Games is considered unsafe are valid, to my knowledge they have never uploaded malware to any of their uploads. Having ads on a piracy site is to be expected. An extremely laughable point, considering pretty much every single other site on the megathread listed as safe also has advertisements. However, this doesn't make it unsafe, and they stopped doing it anyway.ģ) They exploit you for ad revenue. Also not that great a thing to do, but the purpose of doing so is to prevent other piracy sites from using their uploads, and if they did, the person downloading would see basically an advertisement for I G G Games on starting up. That's pretty terrible if it's true, but it doesn't make the site unsafe to download from.Ģ) They package their own DRM in indie games.
